Nigel John is a Master Steel drum performer who fronts the Tropical Mix Band. He has a unique universal groove to his Jazz Caribbean style. He started playing the Steel Drums at the age of five and has been playing instrument professionally over thirty years. His father is an original Steel drum maker. From 1988 to 1992, he study music in England, where he received his Certificate for Advancement in music education.
In 1987 Nigel John was awarded a scholarship supported by the Government of Grenda and the United States information service to participate in an International Youth Jazz program in Detroit. For this program, he received the Spirit of Detroit Award for his dedication to improving the Quality of life.
Nigel John and the Tropical Mix Band will make you feel like your vacationing in the Caribbean every time! Imagining these experiences, everyone just loves the good feeling while talking and dancing to the sweat music of the Steel Drums. The Steel drum is the last orchestral instrument invented in the 21st Century. The uniqueness about the Steel Drum is that its satellite disc shape conducts positive energies and electricity to make beautiful natural sounds.
