Skunk City
By day he's a mild-mannered environmental engineer, but at nite, Dan Lazzarotto transforms into D'Lazz, the soulful journeyman vocalist, screaming banshee harpist and percussionist! Mark Kovach, Electric Bass/vocals, is an atom smasher by trade. It would seem that Kov has harnessed the nuclear power of the very neutrons he's subdued and recalibrated them into a sonic assault that will leave you slackjawed. Paul Hazard is a corporate pornographer by trade, and an absolute animal on the drums, the only possible foil for Kov, capable of driving the music with such ferocity that you wonder exactly WHAT it is he is shooting with the camera all day to make him so explosive. And is that not the most rock and roll name for a drummer you've ever heard? Mike Depoian is a dark force in corporate espionage, yet wields a positive energy on the guitar that fuels the already monstrous sound of The Skunk, and yet can channel that power in any direction he sees fit. Tony Orant is a facilitator in the Great Wheel known as Jurisprudence, and just as his alter-ego manipulates the powers that be, the id TonyO mitigates the force that is The Skunk with the fury of the Hammond organ and piano, tempered with keyboards and acoustic guitar.
In addition to playing great classic rock by the likes of Joe Cocker, Santana, Deep Purple, Steppenwolf, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers, Bad Company and Tom Petty, Skunk City performs original music in the same vein
